  • The official Crime Stoppers Flag Raising is one of several events that the Oromocto/Gagetown Crime Stoppers chapter will be participating in during Crime Stoppers Month in January 2012.<br />

The Oromocto/Gagetown chapter has a very active membership and is proud to be one of the four founding members of N.B. Crime Stoppers that was created in 1985. The chapter currently has 18 members, which includes four law enforcement coordinators.<br />

Western Valley Crime Stoppers hosted the RCMP Musical Ride in partnership with Western Valley Special Olympics in Woodstock Aug. 23, 2011.  A number of pre-shows were presented prior to the pagentry of the RCMP Musical Ride, which was attended by approximately 3500 people.  The theme of the Musical Ride was appreciation to UN Peacekeeping Forces which included representation from all categories of the Armed Forces.  CFB Gagetown provided a static display in addition to 10 mascots attending for entertainment of the children.  The RCMP Musical Ride was dedicated in memory of RCMP Sgt. Mark Gallagher who was on a UN Peacekeeping mission during the Haiti earthquake.
